The social way to exercise

By Friends Health & Fitness

WITH the increase in technology in our lives, we’re starting to crave more interaction with others when we exercise.

Many of us need the accountability to reach our goals.

At Friends Health & Fitness, we value our community and the interactions we create with our members.

From the moment you walk in the door, you’ll be greeted by a familiar smiling face who will soon learn your name and we’ll supervise you in the gym for the times you need some extra help with your workout.

Gym members receive complimentary guidance from our experienced and understanding trainers from pre-exercise screenings, individual programs and ongoing program updates every six weeks to on-the-spot advice in the gym or classes throughout the lifetime of your membership.

The old thinking of needing to be fit to go to the gym can’t be further from the truth.

With the number of distractions in life, it’s really important to find a facility and modality of exercise that is progressive, enjoyable and sustainable.

Many are turning to group exercise classes as they provide a fantastic social interaction that is highly motivating and offers direct supervision and professional guidance from an instructor.

We offer more than 65 classes a week, from small group training to large classes, including water-based classes.

We know that research shows those who exercise in supervised groups attend and regularly get better results.

Sessions include aqua aerobics, Les Mills group fitness classes, small group training or personalised one-to-one sessions.

There is something to suit everyone.

Everyone’s needs and goals are different, and we focus on helping people “be who they want to be.”

Friends Health & Fitness offers a modern facility including spin bikes, a large group fitness room, small group training rooms, a fully equipped gym, heated indoor 25m pool, spa and the popular steam room.

Complimentary child minding is offered to members Monday to Friday from 9am to 11.30am.
