Supporting customers through construction loans

FOR Tasmania’s only RAMS franchisee Tony Leggett, industry experience and expertise has been key to helping many of his customers achieve their dream home.

Operating out of his RAMS Home Loan Centre in Hobart, Mr Leggett has helped countless customers secure the right loan for their home ownership goals.

For families or individuals upsizing, renovating or building a brand new home, Mr Leggett believes that securing a home loan that suits a buyer’s individual needs is essential.

“RAMS have a range of flexible home loans that work for our customers,” he said.

“We are particularly strong in supporting customers who are first home buyers or self employed and we pride ourselves on offering easy access, expert advice and local service.”

One particular area that Mr Leggett and his team in Hobart are skilled in is understanding the needs of a customer if they are building their dream home from the ground up.

He knows it is an entirely different process from buying an established home.

“The RAMS construction option can be adopted on many RAMS home loans and allows customers to pay the builder progress payments at each major stage of the building or renovation process and at completion of the project,” Mr Leggett said.

Features in the RAMS construction option include:

Progress payments are made to builders throughout the construction process ($50 administration fee for each progress payment).

Loan repayments are interest only during the construction phase.

After land settlement, we provide you with flexibility on the commencement of construction of your new home so you can build on a timeline that works for you.

“These features can be incredibly useful for customers looking to build their dream home,” Mr Leggett said.

“If you are interested in renovating your home but are unsure of where to begin or who to talk to about your loan options, get in touch with RAMS.

“Our construction loan can also be used for improvements or additions to an already existing home such as new kitchen, bathroom or pool.”
