Raising the bar on customer service

BRIDGESTONE Select Hobart has been crowned best in the region, beating outlets from across Victoria and Tasmania at Bridgestone’s annual MasterClass Awards.

The local business took home the Franchise of the Year VIC/TAS award, which recognises outstanding achievement in the areas of customer service, operations and sales.

Richard Hilder, who co-owns the store with Scott Turnbull, said the award was a testament to the combined efforts of previous owner Geoff Duggan and a highly dedicated team.

“I have worked in the Hobart store for nearly four years now and Scott has been there for more than 10-years,” he said.

“Taking over this store from Geoff has been an absolute pleasure and what a great way to carry on his legacy by winning this award.”

Mr Hilder said the Bridgestone Select Hobart team was committed to offering exceptional customer service, providing expert advice and recommending quality products to meet its customers’ unique requirements.

“We have always placed a strong focus on getting our service, operations and sales right because they have a direct impact on the experience our customers have in-store,” he said.

“We pride ourselves on treating our customers the way they expect and deserve to be treated and certainly have the right team behind us to help us do that, which we are very thankful for.”

For many years, Bridgestone Select Hobart has been the benchmark Bridgestone store for Victoria and Tasmania.

Its involvement in the MasterClass program saw the business awarded National Franchise of the Year in 2009.

“The MasterClass program is about setting the highest standards for all Bridgestone outlets across Australia and Bridgestone Select Hobart has certainly achieved that,” Bridgestone Australia and New Zealand managing director Andrew Moffatt said.

“The competition gets tougher every year, so to win Franchise of the Year VIC/TAS is an outstanding achievement – congratulations to Richard, Scott and the Hobart team.”
