Pinktober lights up Hobart

HOBART was bathed in a sea of pink lights last month when the Hobart community banded together to celebrate Pinktober

A calendar of events was released in Hobart and kicked off with a civic reception at Government House on 1 October.

Franklin Square, Cardinal Lights, the Railway Roundabout Fountain, Kennedy Lane, Elizabeth Mall, Government House Hobart and Hadley’s Orient Hotel were the landmarks chosen to participate in the lighting.

Queensland firm ‘Street and Garden’ were responsible for the lighting.

Community members had been encouraged to take photos of the sites and post them to social media, using the tags @EventsTasmania and @NationalBreastCancerFoundation.

Pinktober 2018 was special for the National Breast Cancer Foundation as it celebrated a milestone of 25 years since inception.
