Four-legged fun for all the family
HOBART residents are invited to treat their dogs to a morning out with their furry friends on Sunday 16 October.
The City of Hobart’s Dogs on the Domain event will run from 10am until 1pm, starting at the Soldier’s Memorial Oval on Upper Domain Road, with walkers’ registration and the first of three demonstrations from the Hobart Canine Obedience Club.
At 10.30am dog owners and their pooches will have the choice of two walks – 1.3 kilometre or 2.8 kilometre distances, followed by a pet parade with a fancy dress option.
Parade prizes include best trick, dog–owner lookalike, the “waggiest” tail and best dressed.
A number of stalls will be selling a great range of accessories and food, and there will also be a focus on canine health and wellbeing with a doggie dental check and first aid available on the day.
Hit100.9 FM will be broadcasting live from the event, and a jumping castle and face painting will keep the younger crowd busy.
