Dog lovers gather on the Domain

IT will be a get-together for our four-legged friends on Sunday 15 October when the popular Dogs on the Domain event returns to the Queen’s Domain.

Running from 10am-1pm at the Soldiers Memorial Oval, the canine social event will include a fancy dress pet parade (sponsored by the North Hobart Veterinary Hospital), face painting, jumping castle, obedience demonstrations and stalls offering information and pet products.

The City of Hobart’s responsible dog ownership mascot Wellington will be there to help hand out prizes throughout the morning.

There will also be the choice of two walks along Soldiers Memorial Avenue – 2.8 kilometres and 1.3 kilometres.

The Queens Domain offers an off lead dog exercise area and many on-lead walks, with ample car parking available.

The event is run by the City of Hobart in partnership with the Dogs’ Home of Tasmania, Hobart Canine Obedience Club and Hobart Dog Walking Association.
