City swings in October

THE City of Hobart’s positive ageing program has lined up three “must see” concerts this month for lovers of the old favourites.

Hobart Town Hall will play host to the Sing for Your Life! community choir in its Seniors Week concert on Wednesday 18 October from 1pm-2pm.

The concert is free, but it will be first in, first served when it comes to seating.

On Sunday 22 October, the Mount Stuart Memorial Hall will boom to the Australian Army Band between 2pm-3.30pm, followed by a delicious afternoon tea.

Tickets are free, but bookings are essential.

The following Sunday 29 October, we’re going outdoors with gypsy jazz ensemble Django’s Tiger at the orchard on St John’s Avenue between 1pm-3pm.

Bring your own seating and picnic to enjoy great music in a beautiful setting.

To book for the Australian Army Band, email rsvp@hobartcity.com.au or phone 6238 2100 by Friday 20 October.
