Bonus market announced for last minute shoppers

AS a special gift to all those last-minute shoppers, the Hobart Twilight Market has announced a third Christmas-themed market to take place in December.

The additional market will be held on Friday 22 December from 5.30pm-10.30pm at Brooke Street Pier.

Market operations coordinator Karam Jeong said the Hobart Twilight Market team was excited about the opportunity to host a Christmas market.

“Christmas is such a wonderful time of year, with so many people flocking to Tasmania to take some time out,” she said.

“All elements of the usual Long Beach market will be brought to Brooke Street Pier for shoppers to make some last minute purchases and enjoy a range of food and drinks from local producers.”

Now in its fourth season, the Hobart Twilight Market has grown to become the City’s iconic Friday night market.

Ms Jeong said it truly was a market for everyone.

“Whether you have an active toddler in tow or a furry canine friend as company, everyone is welcome,” she said.

“There is something for all ages and tastes with a vast selection of stalls featuring products from a range of local businesses and not-for-profit organisations.

“From gourmet fare and local artisan produce to fashion, art, home décor and crafts, the market is a fantastic place to chill out after work on a Friday evening.

“Sample delicious Tasmanian food and wine, all while enjoying music from local Tasmanian bands.”

The Hobart Twilight Market operates on the first and third Friday of each month from October through to March from 4.30pm to 9pm at Long Beach, Sandy Bay.
