Artists call out for Hobart Current
IN its launch year, the inaugural Creative Director of Hobart Current, Rosie Dennis, pictured, is seeking Expressions of Interest from professional artists to respond to the theme of ‘liberty’.
These artists may be working in art forms including visual art, design, screen and digital arts, literature, music, theatre, sound, live art and installation.
Hobart Current is an innovative long-term partnership between the City of Hobart and TMAG, which replaces the 27-year-old City of Hobart Art Prize.
In total, 10 artists will be commissioned as part of Liberty 2020.
The final works will be installed in the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG).
Artists who are interested in being considered for this opportunity can submit an Expression of Interest via www.hobartcurrent.com.
