Hobart’s vibrant transformation

HOBART’S Bidenscopes Lane will be transformed when the Vibrance Festival takes place between 19 and 25 February.

The annual festival will see more than 20 local, interstate and international street artists transform concrete city walls into large-scale works of art.

Bidencopes Lane, located off Murray Street, is known as a graffiti hotspot and has been chosen as the site for the 2018 festival in an effort to deter tagging and bring life to one of Hobart’s most prominent laneways.

The weeklong event celebrates Tasmanian street art and culture and will include food and drinks, a public paint wall, art and craft stalls and performances by local artists.

The festival is family-friendly and free to enter on all days except Friday and Saturday evenings, which are ticketed events.

Tickets are $15 each night for Friday and Saturday nights or $25 for a weekend pass.

Vibrance Festival is presented in partnership with the City of Hobart and will take place on the following dates:
