MOONAH’S Independent Health Care Service (IHCS) is celebrating 25-years of high-quality community care.
Having commenced operations back in 1992 by three registered nurses, IHCS chief executive officer Alison Keleher said the Tasmanian-owned company was proud to be delivering services for the past 25-years.
She said clients saw IHCS as a person-centred organisation that was recognised in the Tasmanian community as a trusted provider of quality care.
“Independent Health Care Service is also an Employer of Choice, offering the highest quality care for our clients,” she said.
“Our services have a primary focus on helping people from all walks of life live happily and independently in their home.”
Long-term employee and director Sally Smith is responsible for ensuring that IHCS provides a high quality, responsive client coordination service.
“One of our strengths is that we are an independent organisation, meaning we are able to respond quickly to our clients, community needs and demands,” she said.
“Our client base is quite diverse and come from the disability and aged care sectors, as well as private arrangements.”
IHCS recently celebrated the quarter century anniversary with a private event for all staff.
“We are excited to be able to acknowledge our staff, especially our longer term staff, for their dedication to the company over the years,” Ms Keleher said.
“We even have an employee who received a 25-year service badge at our event.
“IHCS continues to grow as the community health sector grows and we welcome any enquiries for services under the NDIS program, Home Care Package program, Department of Veterans Affairs or private requests for service provision and support.”
